To the Sun

December 2020

Copic marker and pen

8.5” x 11”

A piece that can be displayed two different ways.

I was interested in how two different ancient cultures from other sides of the world can have things in common, such as building pyramids and important sun gods. Each half of the picture displays a different culture, one side being the Aztecs and the other side being the Egyptians. Their respective sun gods are represented as one in the center to demonstrate the similarities the two cultures have.
